I am still feeling the heat and soreness from yesterday, so I decided to keep today's run shorter to let my body recover. I was glad I had made this choice when I got up and saw the weather. It had poured last night and started raining again as I got home, so it was a good thing I went when I did.

Friday the 13th must seriously be getting to me.

I was on the floor stretching before my run this morning and fell sound asleep on the floor...guess I was tired. Went out when I woke up, but it was already 101 out and you can feel the heat shimmering off the pavement. Managed to do 4 miles before I felt like passing out, and slowly walked the last half mile home rather than doing my mile cool down loop. Hoping tomorrow I can get up early and do 5 solid miles before it gets hot.

 Planning on doing some running and working out in the pool today since it's too hot not to go to the pool.

2 fast miles today. Able to run a good majority of the time, but this heat is really getting to me. We've not had a single day in 2 weeks below 90% humidity. The air is thick and that makes it hard to breathe, which makes it hard to run. One more month of this misery, ack!

3 miles today. Better pace, but still feel slow. It's going to be miserably hot and gross today so I don't think I will get a chance to go out tonight for some slow mileage.
